[Locations]

Landmarks

Amethyst Square - The center of town, and City Hall sits right on the north side of this square. On weekends, vendors and marketplaces sometimes set up, and it can become quite a cool celebration of local businesses.

Violet River - A winding river dividing Amethyst Shore in two, pretty much. The Tower Bridge, named after Nathaniel Tower, the founder of Amethyst Shore, spans over the river, and the river is surprisingly popular with the younger generation for parties.

Arrowhead Beach - Arrowhead Beach is the biggest beach that’s part of Amethyst Shore, and has an amazing view of the ocean. It’s named for it’s unique shape, just like an arrowhead. Celeste Blackson is a lifeguard here during the summer.

Solace Beach - Solace Beach lies about forty minutes away from Amethyst Shore, by car, and is a private beach, available only to purchasers of one of the beach houses. The Wayne family and the Tower family both own a beach house here.

Pier Park - A huge pier which contains the town’s amusement park. The Ferris wheel is the most recognizable thing, and at night, it glows a brilliant purple.

The Mines - An entrance to a sprawling maze of tunnels created while excavating for amethysts. Portions of these tunnels are still in use, mainly the tunnels beneath Tower Labs, but the vast majority are abandoned. Teens sometimes sneak down here for dares.

Founder Park - A park towards the south of town with some rather lush scenery. There are jogging paths, a pond, and a playground.

--

Neighborhoods

Quartz Fields - The neighborhood where the Holland family, among many others, lives. Has a coul-de-sac called Crystal Creek, which has a unique backyard situation where four houses form a sort of compound where they share a large pool, a hot tub area, and a seating/grilling area. The four families included in this are the Holland family, the Vane family, the Robinson family, and the Simmons family. Has primarily upper middle class houses.

Rosethorn Hollow - A neighborhood on the opposite side of town from Quartz Fields. Primarily lower middle class homes, but Rosethorn does have a nice public park.

Riverlook - The richest neighborhood in Amethyst Shore, sitting right on the bank of the river and full of lavish mansions. Rich families like the Wayne family and the Tower family live here.

--

Companies and Businesses

Wayne Incorporated - The sprawling company currently led by Sophia Wayne, who took over after her husband’s ****. Wayne Incorporated has toes in a number of businesses, and several of Amethyst Shore's primary businesses are subsidiaries of Wayne Incorporated. The company has never had profits this high, and everyone who questioned Sophia Wayne's capabilities have eaten their words many times over by now.

Jewel Holdings Company - The real estate firm jointly owned by Jeremiah Holland and Jenson Barnes. Based in Coral Sands, where real estate is much more plentiful. It keeps both men extremely busy, which means they don't always spend the time they should with their families.

Onyx Technologies - The cutting edge tech company owned and founded by John Blackson. A subsidiary of Wayne Incorporated, Onyx Tech is a big supplier of tech stores and businesses in the local area.

Tower Laboratories - The labs owned by Nathaniel Tower. These labs are dedicated to studying the town’s unique amethysts and their unusual properties. Penelope and Thomas Vane work here as well.

Amaranthine Luxury Hotel - The fanciest hotel in Amethyst Shore, a premium place set upon a hill overlooking the town. Extremely expensive, but worth the cost.

Orchids Dress Boutique - The premiere dress boutique for Amethyst Shore residents. Ran by Tiffany Prescott.

Ink - The main tattoo parlor in town. Stella Marshall and Gabrielle Barnes work here.

--

Restaurants

Campbell Kitchen - A small restaurant in the center of town, quite popular with families and events.

The Riverside - A lavish restaurant that is primarily a spot for dates. Sits right on the shore of Violet River, in the southern part of town.

Hank's Diner - A popular diner that's been around for decades. Jace Holland and Amy Blackson worked there the summer before their senior year.

Creamed Heaven - The town’s local ice cream shop. Has a very dirty minded owner who enjoys when beautiful women enter his shop, but wouldn’t ever do anything to them that they didn’t want. He just likes the view. Despite that, it’s a very popular teen hangout.

--

Nightlife and Recreation

Shoreline Recreation Center - A huge recreation building with an indoor pool, a bowling alley, an arcade, tennis courts, and a small cafe.

Parkside Pool - The town’s public swimming pool, located opposite the park, hence the name.

Blackout - The local nightclub that only allows people 18+ inside the doors. Almost pitch black in the club, with only some very dim mood lighting. A really ideal place to let loose. Has had some **** issues in the past, unfortunately, but they’ve really began cracking down now.

Violet Passion - The town’s strip club. Isolated on the very far north tip of Amethyst Shore, far away from housing areas. Thalia Wilkins used to strip here, under the guise of Eve.

--

Schools

Violet River High School - The local high school, which sits less than a mile from the bank of the Violet River, on the west side of Amethyst Shore. Jace Holland goes here, along with the other teens his age.

Violet River Middle - The local middle school

Violet River Elementary School - The local elementary school
